My new watch doesn't register my bike commute as steps. So I have almost 3000 steps on my Fitbit but only 960 on the watch. 😀

@habmala Your fitbit registers biking as steps?!

Mine are fairly close πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

@openess I'm at 6267 now on the watch but 10424 on Fitbit. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It's just always done this and I never considered it. I do remember getting massive numbers back when I used to ride the train s lot though. I guess it depends on how you wear the tracker. The Fitbit has always been in my jeans pocket.

@habmala @openess I've noticed my watch misses steps when I'm holding my phone and looking at it as I walk. e.g. playing Pokemon Go. I've always figured it was because I'm holding it still to look at the screen.

@edebill @openess yeah, that makes sense. Maybe I should start swinging my arms while riding the bike πŸ€”πŸ˜…

@habmala @openess my old exercise watch used to want to graph my pace in steps per minute, and it'd flatline every time I looked at my phone πŸ˜‚

@habmala @edebill @openess A friend of mine spend a lazy Saturday crocheting on the couch. At the end of the day she was surprised to see that she had walked (crocheted) several miles on her tracker.
